She was an Italian supermodel. He was a hardworking farm boy from Iowa. He knew he'd have only one chance to make a great impression... Oh wait, that's the advertisement for a foreign language course, sorry.
Our bride Jayme hails from New Jersey and yet claims no relation to MTV's Jersey Shore tv show. A proud graduate of the University of North Carolina (go Tarheels!), she moved out west to southern California 5 years ago. She currently works in casting for television, but please, don't bring your headshots to show her on her wedding day!
Meanwhile, our groom Gary grew up here in southern California yet amazingly still cannot surf. After an extended tour at Stanford (if four years of college is fun, five must be even better?), he spent years under the ill-conceived notion that people would pay him money if he could run fast. Now fat, lazy, and retired from running, he spends his days eating ice cream and selling uniforms, usually in that order.
They met through Team in Training, a fundraising organization for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Gary was coaching people to run their first marathon, and Jayme was a proud Honored Teammate on the team. After the season was over, they went on a first date and the rest is history!
